Whether visiting or living in the Hamptons conversation often centers on a topic of utmost importance “where am I going to dine tonight?” So let’s talk about the best sources for Hamptons dining information. Always quite entertaining is Curbed Hamptons though they do not have a dinning section. There are many surveys and restaurant related articles and a quick search from their home page yielded much to do about food in East Hampton. Google has changed the playing field with it’s acquisition of Zagats and integration those reviews into google+ searches. Just query 11937 restaurants and the information is a blend of Zagats and Google reviews across the new Google banner, of course the usual search result follow page by page! Edible East End is an outstanding quarterly that covers the story of food on the twin forks, just search restaurants and enjoy the excellent commentary!
The very local favorite is News for Foodies & the Hamptons Restaurant Guide from the East Hampton Star, they know local since 1885. A search of Hamptons in Eater NY & Thrillist NY will provide interesting food related articles and restaurant reviews. I do like Open Table for a look at menus and guest comments and availability. This Open Table search of Long Island & Hamptons Restaurants is a great way to have a look, just ask it to sort by location in the menu bar above the listings. My favorite approach is allowing the Mill House Inn Personal Assistants to do what they do best, handle your entire itinerary while visiting the Hamptons.
A shout out to James Carpenter welcome back to East Hampton.
That’s all for now… Enjoy Your Dinner!
