By Car:
From Manhattan, take the Midtown
Tunnel to the Long Island Expressway (495) East. Take the LIE East to
Exit 70, Route 111 to Manorville/Eastport. At the end of the ramp turn
right on 111 and follow to the end (approx. 5 miles) to Route 27 East.
After you cross the Shinnecock Canal, Route 27 will narrow when you reach
Southampton. From this point you still have about 25 miles to East
Hampton. Stay on Route 27/Montauk Highway East. It will take a left turn
in Southampton at the Princess Diner. Then you will go through Watermill,
which has a big windmill. THIS IS NOT OUR WINDMILL!!! YOU STILL HAVE
ANOTHER 15 MILES TO GO!!!
The second time Route 27 takes a
left turn (it is well marked) you will be in East Hampton. There is a
beautiful swan pond directly in front of you. Take this left and proceed
through the village. Go through the traffic light at Newtown Lane and
immediately thereafter get into the Left Hand Turn Lane. This will put
you onto North Main Street bearing left around our Windmill.
The Mill House Inn is directly
across the street from this windmill. It has many white French Doors
opening out from our front porch to the street. The driveway is just past
the house and parking is around back. A wooden walkway will lead you from
the parking lot to our front porch. You enter the inn from the porch.

By Bus:
The Hampton Jitney is a luxury
express bus line serving Manhattan, JFK Airport and the
Hamptons . The jitney stops along third avenue in Manhattan and route 27
in the Hamptons, The East Hampton stop is in front of the Hunting Inn on
Main Street. Take a taxi or walk 2 blocks east to the traffic light.
Cross the highway and continue east on North Main Street to the Inn.

By Ferry:
New London, CT to Orient, NY, Cross
Sound Ferry: 1.25 hours. Reservations necessary for car. High speed
passenger ferry also available. From the ferry, take Route 25 West to
Route 114 to the North Ferry (no reservations necessary) from Greenport to
Shelter Island. Follow 114 across Shelter Island to the South Ferry (no
reservations necessary) from Shelter Island to North Haven. Then
follow Route 114 into East Hampton and turn left on Route
27/Main Street. Bear left onto North Main Street just after the light at
Newtown Lane.

The Long Island Railroad leaves
from Penn Station at 34th Street and stop in East Hampton Village. Take a
taxi from the East Hampton station or walk left to the light and turn
right on Newtown Lane. Walk through town to Route 27/Main Street (about 4
blocks) then left onto North Main Street to the Mill House
Inn.

(Veterans Hwy) South and follow to Sunrise Highway - Route 27 East. Stay
on Route 27 until you reach East Hampton Village (approximately 35
miles). Route 27 takes a couple of left turns but it is well marked. You
will know when you reach East Hampton because the route takes a left turn
and there is a beautiful swan pond directly in front of you. Take the
left and immediately past the first traffic light (Newtown Lane) get in
the left lane and bear left before the Windmill onto North Main Street.

Take Route 27 West to exit 62, Rout
111 to Manorville. Take a right at the end of the ramp and proceed about
4-5 miles to the entrance for The LIE, Route 495 West.

Queens Midtown Tunnel. When you exit the tunnel you want to head west on
34th street all the way to signs for the Lincoln Tunnel. Follow the
signs, go through the tunnel and follow signs for the New Jersey Turnpike
South. Follow signs for Newark Airport.

Route 95 North to the New Jersey
Turnpike to Exit 13 Route 278 East to Staten Island. Follow 278 over the
Goethals Bridge and then over the Verrazanno Bridge. Take Route 478 North
(Brooklyn Queens Expressway) to the Long Island Expressway (495) East.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE MILL HOUSE
INN: Route 27 West to Route 24 North (exit 65). In Riverhead take Route
25 West to the Tanger Factory Outlet Center. On your way back take the
North Fork Route (25 East to Greenport where you take Route 114 to the
Shelter Island Ferries and back to East Hampton). Stop at a few of our
excellent wineries on your way back, maybe have lunch at the Seafood
Barge.
