‘Carolyn's Kitchen’ What I am thinking about this week...
We are in the middle of the hottest days of summer, we need a refreshing and delicious way to cool off in Carolyn's Kitchen!
@ the 'nack & coffee bar
It started last year as we were brainstorming new treats for the ‘nack bar. We started making our homemade popsicles with fresh, local ingredients and testing the flavors on our friends at Balsam Farms. After all who better to test on then a group of farmers who have been in the hot sun out in the fields all day. Our paletas were a great success and this year our guests and “testers” alike have been asking for them (or rather demanding them!) Fruity, Savory, Creamy, Tart…we’ve hit all the flavors. Drop me a line and let me know if there is a flavor you would like to see us make!
- Hibiscus Lime
- Montauk Rumrunners Coconut Rum Tropical Fruit
- MHI Iced Coffee
- Mango Sriracha (made with our very own sriracha!)
- Strawberry Basil

‘You really pay a lot of attention to the details here. The cold bowls and the copper tray - it is all so beautiful. This is one of the best places I have stayed in the past 10 years.’
PS: Don’t forget to visit our friends at Amber Waves Farms where they are offering pick your own raspberries and flower bouquets Tuesday – Sunday 10am – 6pm while the crops last!
We have quite a few requests to join us for breakfast. Since we are not open to the general public, in order to dine our breakfast experience without being an overnight guest you have the opportunity to win a gift certificate from one of the many causes we support.
