Just a short note about East Hampton during the
Summer...
Ahhh…
Summer at the seashore… She sells seashells and he has
sand between his toes… Bicycle built for two? A picnic
on the beach (was someone lunching on the beach when
they came up with the name for sandwiches?) with a
bottle of Wölffer Rose and a pocket full of posies,
picked along the way… Maybe wish upon a star (or catch
one performing unannounced at Stephen Talkhouse Thursday
night!). It’s that time again – and the place to be is
in the Hamptons.
Whether
it’s the crowds (and lobster rolls) at Main Beach that
excite you, or a solitary stroll along Sammy’s beach at
sunset, we’ve got a beach for every mood and every
moment. We’ve also got great restaurants (don’t forget
to let us know in advance so we can make your
reservations for dinner – it’s not like the winter when
you can walk right in), great shopping, great wineries,
great theatre & great galleries. Or escape from it all
in one of our super-comfortable Adirondack chairs under
the maple tree in our beautifully landscaped gardens and
enjoy the solitude or a good book.
